Thanks Mike for the pointers on where to stay. Different things please different people, some like what a B&B would offer and there are others that long for the expensive hotel chain type place.

As for updating, yes, I'd better get to it.

Hello congratulations on your site! Looks like maybe you aren't updating it very often lately but I wanted to comment on your Best Hotels in Managua story. You alluded to it with a link to a review of a smaller property at the end of the article, but I'd like to reiterate for your readers that there are a few really nice options for those who do not want to be in the center of hot, dirty, and noisy Managua. So if you read that and were dismayed at the idea of spending a night or two in an expensive sterile chain hotel, just look into some of the alternatives, such as Bed and Breakfast, farmstay, and eco-lodges.

Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for letting us all know about Laguna de Apoyo. I am sure many of our readers who travel to Nicaragua will want to know about your volcano tour to add to their itinerary.

Laguna de Apoyo should not be left out of any volcano tour. It is a water-filled volcanic crater containing endemic species of fish. We study the fish and work to protect the lake. Please contact us if you would like to stay at Lake Apoyo.

This is a great list of hotels to stay in for San Juan del Sur. I was there two month ago and this little beach community is really happening. Prices and reasonable and San Juan is a little paradise, great beaches, places to eat and drink. Amazing. Great blog!

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I enjoy seeing websites that understand the value of providing a prime resource for free. I truly loved reading your posts on Nicaragua. Thanks!
