Survivor Comes to Nicaragua

As you are know doubt aware, Survivor: Nicaragua! has arrived on TV. It’s the 21st season of the show and the people at CBC couldn’t have picked a better location for the TV show. I’ve watched the show a couple of times(mostly to watch the scenery) even though it’s not my cup of tea, so to speak. INTUR Promotes Nicaragua at EXPOTUR 2010

The Young People of Nicaragua

I photographed this pensive young woman in Nicaragua.  She sold jewelery in the Parque Colon in Granada.
Judging by her young age, she was born after all the troubles of Nicaragua.  Will Nicaragua tourism bring a bright future full of hope to the young generation of Nicaragua?  Will the “trickle down” effect hold true?
There is currently a high unemployment rate in Nicaragua and it is one of the poorest countries in Central America.  Tourism is one of its biggest industries.  However, everywhere I went, I did not see many tourists.  It …
